Hello everyone,

As the journal title suggests, I'm going away from DA for a while. I just feel that my art is suffering and I feel very... frustrated with my style and despite all of my effort to show off my work, I just don't feel fulfilled. So I'm going to cut myself off from here and try to find a new style and a fresh outlook when I'm not being inspired by others but by trying to find inspiration inside of myself. I do have a new series that I am doing and I hope to complete that and a few other unfinished projects before coming back. In the meantime, I wish luck to all who read this with their projects and I hope to come back soon!

Have some contest entries brewing in the pot so I'll have some new art coming in! Summer school with just one class isn't that bad and I attended a birthday party yesterday and I'm going to be helping with a drive in movie tomorrow! Fun Stuff!

Hello everyone!
Going to be gone a while for my China trip! I'm going with the International Scholar Laureate Program and we are going to be taking a look at how they do medicine over there. I'm so excited! So expect pictures when I come back!

Well, I'm home now and my sanity is finally starting to come back slowly, but I have only have two weeks before my next adventure begins! The end of the year rocked me, especially my last three exams (genetics, political science, and organic chemistry... again). I was annoyed by having to move out and also by having this one guy follow me everywhere and want to be with me all of the time (I think he liked me and I finally had to tell him to back off 'cause I'm not looking for a relationship with anyone right now). Last weekend was absolutely nuts *in a good way*. I went to a wedding that was at a Kung Fu tournament, then to a Pictionary Palooza cookout/party and then to "Wolverine" with a dozen of my friends (and watching Hugh Jackman running though that one scene nekkid :3) ... all in one day, and I had church the next day, too. I go to the awesomest church [link] in the country where the pastor is 29 years old and wears print tees and torn jeans.
Now I'm just chilling until I blast out of the country to China on the 19th. In the meantime, I have to pack, get some new business clothes, see my bio-dad, finish a painting for my grand-master who I'm going to meet in Beijing, and make sure the people back at school get my paperwork right. Right now, they have me on the wrong meal plan and the wrong price for having a room on campus and I've already told them once that it's not right. Sigh, I hope they are not this slack for my summer classes. So I hope everyone is having a great summer so far and if you haven't reached summer yet, then just hang in there! I'll have some new art up soon and pics from China after that!

I'm going to be away for a few days. I'm going on my first ever mission trip with my college's BCM and I am leaving as of now! Be praying for us! We hope to make a big difference!
